The publication presents the house-museum of collector and artist Kazys Varnelis (1917–2010). Small rooms with abundant details of early Gothic architecture contain exhibits of historical graphic art, maps and Western European sculpture, supplemented by Renaissance and Baroque furniture sets and abstract works by Varnelis. This contrasting harmony makes the exhibition unique. The collection that Varnelis accumulated for fifty years and gave to Lithuania as a gift is a significant contribution to the existing collections of cultural treasures in Lithuania and introduces new exhibition principles.
